Will, I realize I'm late...but I'd like to say that I'm glad this never picked up too much steam. I enjoy all of those shows. All of those shows (well, We Can Do Better was a different format) are just unscripted sitcoms. They're the same as any other fictional program that's meant to be enjoyed (or not; no one's being forced to watch them).
Though I'm glad they're still on the air (Shoot, I hope I'm around to catch Flavor of Love 39), I can feel what you're saying. A nice balance and representation of ALL of our peoples would be ideal; however, I don't think we have to rid the channels of this genre (level, some may say)--we just need to add some more quality AND MAKE FOLKS WATCH IT. If you think about it, more often than not, the shows that we're tuning in to watch are the FOLs, Charm School, We Can Do Better. Shoot, setting viewership records with those shows!
But, yeah, that title--though I'm not really against it being named it--i'm glad it was changed to We Can Do Better. They changed the title, but kept the show interesting enough that we watched, and the majority of us thought, "Yep, we can do better."
